We believe there is one and only one living and true God who is an infinitely intelligent, spiritual and personal Being. He is the Creator, Preserver, and Sovereign ruler of the universes both material and immaterial, and is infinite in every attribute, both divine and moral, all of which are governed by His absolute Holiness. (Gen. 1:1; Ex. 15:11, 20:3; Lev. 20:7; Deut. 6:4; 1 Cor. 8:4 6; Rev. 4:11)
We believe in the absolute deity of Jesus Christ, who became man without ceasing to be God demonstrated by His miraculous birth and sinless life. That He accomplished our redemption through His vicarious, sacrificial, and atoning death on the cross and that our eternal salvation and justification before God are made sure by His literal and physical resurrection from the dead. (John 1:13,14,29; 10:30; 16:13,16; Rom. 3:24; 4:25; 10:9; 2 Cor. 5:21; Heb. 1:8; 4:15; 1 John 2:1 2)
We believe in the absolute deity of the Holy Spirit; equal with and of the same nature as God the Father and God the Son, Jesus Christ. He was active in the creation, convicts men of sin, righteousness, and judgment, bears witness to the truth, and is the agent of the new birth. He seals, secures, endues, guides, teaches, witnesses to, sanctifies, intercedes, and helps the believer by His indwelling presence. (Gen. 1:1, 3; Matt. 28:19; John 3:5 6; 14:16 17, 26; 16:8, 14;Rom. 8:14, 27; Eph. 1:13, 14; Heb. 9:14)
We believe in the divine inspiration and authority of the Bible in its autographs, historically accepted by the Christian Church as the 39 books of the Old Testament and 27 books of the New Testament and that they are the supreme and final authority for faith and conduct of this church. (John 1:1 2; 2 Tim. 3:1617; 2 Pet. 1:19 21)
We believe the Genesis account of creation as a literal, historical seven-day (24-hour day) account of God’s direct creative acts without any evolutionary or revolutionary change of species. (Gen. 1, 2; John 1:1, 3; Col. 1:16, 17; Heb. 11:3)
We believe the Scriptures teach that man was created by a direct act of God from the dust of the earth and not from any previously existing form of life; and that all men are descended from the historical Adam and Eve, first parents of the entire human race. By voluntary transgression man fell from his sinless state, in consequence of which all men are now sinners by nature and by choice, utterly devoid of the holiness required by God’s law, positively inclined to evil, and therefore under just condemnation to eternal judgment and everlasting existence separated from God without defense or excuse. (Gen. 1:27; Isa. 57:6; Rom. 3:23; 5:12-19)
We believe that man was created in a state of holiness under the law of God, but through the temptation of Satan, he willfully transgressed the command of God and fell from his sinless and happy state resulting in the total depravity of the entire human race so that all men are sinners by nature and conduct and are therefore under just condemnation without defense or excuse. (Gen. 1:31;3:1 7:22, 24; Rom. 3:10-19; 5:10, 21)
We believe the Scriptures teach that Christ died for the sins of the whole world and that the salvation of sinners is divinely initiated, wholly of grace, and accomplished only through the mediatorial work of the Son of God. It is apart from human work. In order to be saved the sinner must be born again, personally confessing and receiving Jesus Christ as Savior, being regenerated by the power of the Holy Spirit through repentance of his sin and faith in God’s Word, thereby becoming the recipient of the new nature.
The believer who has exercised personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is completely justified and in possession of eternal life which is eternally secure. (John 1:11 12; 3:3-6, 16; 10:28 29; Acts 13:39; Rom. 2:4; 2 Cor. 7:9 10; Eph. 2:8 10; 1 Tim. 2:5 6; Heb. 4:2; 1 Pet. 1:18 23; 2 Pet. 1:4; 2:1)
We believe the Scriptures teach that the Church of Jesus Christ began at Pentecost and will be completed at the rapture of the Church. It must be considered in two aspects: local and universal.
The local church is a congregation of baptized believers, associated by a covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel, observing the ordinances of Christ, governed by His laws and exercising the gifts, rights and privileges invested in them by His Word. Its Scriptural officers are pastors, sometimes called bishops or elders, and deacons, whose qualifications, claims, and duties are defined in the epistles to Timothy and Titus.
The universal church is the entire company of believers in Christ, whether Jew or Gentile, regardless of denominational affiliation and present position in heaven or on earth. (Matt. 16:18; 18:15 18; 28:19 20; Acts 1:5 2; 4:41, 42; 10:44 45;11:15 16; Rom. 1:7; 1 Cor. 12:13; Eph. 1:22 23; 1 Tim. 3; Tit. 1; Heb. 12:23; 13:17)
We believe the Scriptures teach that Christian baptism is the single immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, to show forth his identification with the crucified, buried, risen Savior, thus illustrating the believer’s death to sin and his resurrection to a new life. We believe that the Lord ‘s Supper is the commemoration of the dying love of Jesus Christ until He comes and should be preceded by solemn self examination. (Matt. 3:16;28:19 20; 1 Cor. 10:4; Rom. 6:3 5; Col. 2:12; Mark 1:4; John 3:23; 1 Cor. 10:16, 21;Matt. 26:26 27; Mark 1:9,11; Acts 8:38, 39)
We believe in the dispensational view of the Bible interpretation and reject the extreme teaching known as “Hyper Dispensationalism” such as that teaching which opposes either the Lord’s table or water baptismal as a scriptural means of testimony for the Church in this age. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42, 18:8; I Corinthians 11:23-26)
We believe the Scriptures teach that all Christians should live in such a manner as to exemplify the holiness and purity of the body of Christ of which each Christian is a member. That separation from all religious apostasy compromise, or disobedience and all worldly and sinful pleasures, practices, and associations as commanded by God in His Holy Word (the Bible). (Matt. 18:15 18; Rom. 12:1-2;16:17; 2 Cor. 6:14 18; Gal. 1:8 9; 2 Thes. 3:6, 14 15; 1 John 2:14 16; 2 John 9:11)
We believe in the personality of Satan who was once holy and enjoyed heavenly honors but who through sinful pride fell from his holy estate and introduced sin into the world and all God’s creation. He is the unholy god of this world, and is therefore the enemy of God, His Christ, and His people. He is the author and perpetrator of all sin and as such is the promoter of all false religion. He is the adversary, deceiver and tempter of men, the accuser of the brethren and the lord of all that is against Jesus Christ. His end is eternal judgment in the Lake of Fire. (Isa. 14:12 15; Eze. 28:12 19; Matt. 25:41; 2 Cor. 4:4; 1 Pet. 5:8)
The Rapture of the Church: We believe in the personal, imminent, pre-tribulational and pre-millennial appearance of the Lord Jesus Christ for His Church, and that at that moment the dead in Christ shall be raised first, and those alive in Christ shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air and at such time all shall received glorified bodies and shall be forever with the Lord. (1 Cor. 15:42 44; 51 54; Phil. 3:20 21; 1 Thes. 4:13 18; 2 Thes. 2:1 2; 1 John 3:2; Rev. 3:10)
